About Us

Welcome to Teddybears Preschool, a cherished part of our community for over 30 years! We aim to provide exceptional care and education for children aged 2 to rising 5, warmly welcoming all little ones from near and far.

We are proud to be registered with Ofsted, achieving a fantastic ‘GOOD’ grading in all areas in our latest inspection (Sept 2024)!

Our Aims

At Teddybears Preschool, we believe in creating a joyful and safe environment where children of all cultures and abilities can flourish as individuals, build confidence, and explore the world around them. Our engaging curriculum encourages emotional expression and fosters positive relationships, all while preparing our little learners for school.

We value strong connections with our parents and carers, inviting them to join us for monthly stay & play sessions, questionnaires and termly consultations with their child’s key person. Our vibrant preschool features two rooms and a spacious outdoor area, designed to inspire creativity and individuality through a perfect blend of child-led and adult-led activities.

Groups

Our Caterpillar Group (ages 2-3) and Butterfly Group (ages 3-5) are tailored to the interests of our children, allowing them to learn through play and discover new experiences. Our expansive outdoor space is a haven for adventure, a few of its features include a mud kitchen, sand pit, water wall,  opportunities for planting and growing vegetables !

Safety is our top priority, with secure building procedures and monthly fire drills in place. We maintain a comprehensive policy file accessible to parents/carers, ensuring we adhere to all health and safety regulations for the well-being of our children and staff.
