The Pre-School
Teddybears pre-school is located at St. Micheals community centre. It offers a large hall space and outdoor area. We offer care & education for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old.

Large Hall Space
We have a large hall space which has designated engaging activity areas to prioritise children's creativity, senses and learning development. These consist of areas such as Book corner, dressing up, construction, choice of small world, home play area, craft and toys. Play activities are changed on a daily basis. We also allow children to explore sensory activity's such as water play, wet & dry sand play, shaving foam & use natural materials to enhance activities.
Outdoor Play Area

Teddybears has a large outdoor play area for children to discover the outdoors. Features outside include a water play wall, outdoor kitchen area, mud kitchen and ride on bikes and cars. We use musical instruments and the parachute. The children have access to books, puzzles & a choice of construction resources. In the summer months we use umbrellas and play tents. The garden has chalk boards, slides and a climbing frame

Groups
The hall is split into two group and are tailored to children's ages and development. Each key person will plan for their key child's individual learning needs using the 3 i's ( Intent, Implentation & Impact ) and add to an Enhancement Board to extend interests

Key Persons
Each child will have a keyperson who will build a relationship with the child. The keyperson will build a strong relationship with the child and their parent or carer. A learning journey book will be added to monthly and you will be given this when your child leaves. The key person will be responsible to gather information through the home visit, starting points & will settle your child when they begin. Child progress updates termly gives parents / carers time to look through the learning journey. Key persons are encouraged talk to their child's key person of any changes that have occured
